Traveling in the UAE

The UAE is one of the world's fastest growing tourist and business destinations. Economic and political stability as well as an inclusive society make the UAE an ideal tourist and business destination for all. Traditional Arab hospitality and comfortable winter temperatures are complemented by sophisticated infrastructure and world-class amenities.

The UAE also has become a premier venue for conferences, regional and international exhibitions and major global sports events such as the Dubai World Cup for horseracing, Formula One’s Abu DhabiGrand Prix, the Dubai Desert Classic Golf Tournament, the FIFA Club World Cup and the Special Olympics World Games. In 2021, the UAE will host the World Expo.

UAE RESPONSE TO COVID-19

Throughout the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic, the UAE government and public health authorities have taken significant steps to address the complex public health and economic impacts of the crisis, as well as protect the safety and well-being of Emirati citizens, UAE residents, and visitors. As the world’s second most vaccinated country, the UAE is leading global efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.

The UAE is playing an important role in facilitating and accelerating the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines to developing countries, where storing and delivering vaccines is especially challenging. By working with international partners like the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNICEF in support of the COVAX Facility, millions of doses have been transported to places across Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Latin America.

Dubai and Abu Dhabi alliances are at the center of UAE efforts around vaccine distribution. The Dubai Vaccines Logistics Alliance combines the global reach of Emirates Airline with DP World’s worldwide network of ports and logistics operations, along with the infrastructure of Dubai Airports and International Humanitarian City. Abu Dhabi’s Hope Consortium consists of the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Ports, Etihad Airways and other partners, including US companies UPS and FedEx. It aims to deliver 18 billion doses around the world by the end of 2021.
